HALLOWEEN Fun costume mixed couples tournament 2025!

Hey everyone! Just a quick heads up: this Friday, October 31st, we’re hosting a super fun Halloween mixed tournament at the SXM Padel Club. We’d love to see everyone in costume, and we’ll have prizes for the winners as well as for the best dressed team.

We’ll start at 4 PM and we’ll have a DJ to keep things lively. It’s $25 per player, single elimination format. If you win, you move on; if not, just hang out and enjoy watching the rest of the matches. To sign up, just stop by the club or reach out to Charlotte. We can’t wait to see you all there!

Dear SXM Padel Club Members,

We’re thrilled to see how much everyone loves playing at our club and how vibrant our community has become. With that said, we do have a good problem: our courts are very busy during peak hours. To ensure everyone gets a fair chance to enjoy the game, we need to gently remind everyone of our court booking policy.

If you've played for an hour and a half, we ask that you don’t book another consecutive session immediately after, even if invited by others. This way, new players get a turn and everyone can share the fun.

We trust in your understanding and cooperation. If we notice that this policy is being overlooked, we may have to start canceling back-to-back reservations to keep things fair for everyone.

Dr. Mauricio Acevedo and Wife Visit St. Maarten to Promote Health Education and Lifestyle Change

St. Maarten – July 2025 – SXM Padel Club, with the generous support of the St. Maarten Timeshare Association, Oyster Bay Beach Resort, Nagico, and Simpson Bay Resort, is proud to welcome renowned metabolic health expert Dr. Mauricio Acevedo and his wife to St. Maarten for a series of community-focused health talks.

These informative sessions, modeled in a dynamic TED Talk-style format, are being held in collaboration with the Diabetes Foundation of St. Maarten, whose dedicated volunteers have been offering free blood glucose, blood pressure, and cholesterol testing to participants.

So far, Dr. Acevedo has spoken to a group of over 90 senior citizens, as well as employees of Simpson Bay Resort and Oyster Bay Beach Resort, with more sessions planned throughout the week. His engaging talks aim to educate, inspire, and empower individuals to adopt healthier eating habits, with the goal of reversing or managing diabetes, high blood pressure, and other chronic conditions linked to poor nutrition and obesity.

This Friday at 6:00 PM, the SXM Padel Club will host an open community chat with Dr. Acevedo at its Belair facility, inviting the public to join the conversation and take a proactive step towards better health.

As part of their ongoing support, Oyster Bay Beach Resort is hosting Dr. Acevedo during his stay and has also made a contribution to the Diabetes Foundation of St. Maarten in recognition of their impactful volunteer work. Hopefully, this will also encourage other organizations to donate towards the Foundation so they can continue their amazing—and unfortunately, badly needed—community work.

Ricardo Perez, General Manager of Oyster Bay Beach Resort and a patient of Dr. Acevedo through his telemedicine platform, shared:

Accurate ratings are a difficulty for players, coaches and clubs around the world.

To standardise this internationally is extremely difficult.

The Padel School we has travelled around the world delivering clinics and working with players of all levels. So they are uniquely placed to give an objective, accurate international rating to players of all levels.

We feel that if players can get accurate ratings they are in a good place to pursue their padel journey and continue improving.

What you get:

-Brief Report of that what the coaches observed during your game.

-What you are doing well.

-What you need to improve in order to need the next level.

-Suggestions of what to watch to achieve your next level.

-Rating card with your level signed by Sandy the Founder of the Padel School.

The coaches will evaluate your game at a pre agreed date using our Sporfie.com streaming service.
